One way to access Device Manager in Windows Vista is from the Control Panel.
The Control Panel contains advanced information and configuration options for much of your computer so it's natural that Device Manager is accessible from this area of Windows Vista.
Follow these simple steps to access Device Manager from the Control Panel:
Note: Can't access the Control Panel? Luckily there are many ways to access Device Manager in Windows Vista.
Here's How:
Click on Start and then Control Panel.
Click on the System and Maintenance link.
Note: If you're viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simply double-click on the Device Manager icon and then proceed to Step 4.
In the System and Maintenance window, click on the Device Manager link near the bottom of the window.
You can now use Device Manager for whatever you needed it for - updating device drivers, viewing the system resources that a particular piece of hardware is using, etc.
