Looking for the NETGEAR FS726T default password? You probably have little reason to access your switch on a regular basis so don't feel too bad if you've forgotten the FS726T default password.
However, when you're troubleshooting a network problem and need to get in to the device, the FS726T default password suddenly becomes very important.
For most versions of the NETGEAR FS726T, the default password is password. As with most passwords, the FS726T default password is case sensitive.

Help! The FS726T Default Password Doesn't Work!
At some point during the life of your particular NETGEAR FS726T, the default password, username, and/or IP address might have been changed.
For most networks, if the NETGEAR FS726T default IP address has been changed, the new IP address for the FS726T switch can be determined using tracert, a command available from the Command Prompt in Windows.

In situations where the FS726T default password or FS726T default username has changed, you'll need to reset the NETGEAR FS726T to factory defaults. You can usually do that via a special button or sequence of actions.
