Cisco SG300-10 Default Password

SG300-10 Default Password & Other Default Login Info

Looking for the Cisco SG300-10 default password? You probably have little reason to access your switch on a regular basis so don't feel too bad if you've forgotten the SG300-10 default password.

However, when you're troubleshooting a network problem and need to get in to the device, the SG300-10 default password suddenly becomes very important.

For most versions of the Cisco SG300-10, the default password is cisco. As with most passwords, the SG300-10 default password is case sensitive.

In addition to the SG300-10 default password, you can also see the SG300-10 default username and SG300-10 default IP address in the table below.

Note: The Cisco SG300-10 default password may be different for certain hardware or firmware versions.

If I have that information, I'll include the exact SG300-10 version number along with the correct default password. You can usually find your Cisco SG300-10 version number on the bottom of the switch.

Be sure to change the default switch password on your SG300-10 to something more secure as soon as you're in. Then use a free password manager so you'll never forget your new SG300-10 password.

Help! The SG300-10 Default Password Doesn't Work!

At some point during the life of your particular Cisco SG300-10, the default password, username, and/or IP address might have been changed.

For most networks, if the Cisco SG300-10 default IP address has been changed, the new IP address for the SG300-10 switch can be determined using tracert, a command available from the Command Prompt in Windows.

See How To Identify Network Hardware IP Addresses on a Local Network if you need help using tracert to find the SG300-10 default IP address.

In situations where the SG300-10 default password or SG300-10 default username has changed, you'll need to reset the Cisco SG300-10 to factory defaults. You can usually do that via a special button or sequence of actions.

The SG300-10 manual will have specific directions for performing a factory default reset. You can download the manual for the SG300-10 from Cisco Support.

Please let me know if any of the SG300-10 default login data below needs updated. For other questions about the SG300-10 default information on this page, see my Default Password FAQ.
