Exit (Recovery Console)

What Is the Exit Command?:

The exit command is a Recovery Console command that ends Recovery Console and restarts the computer.

An exit command is also available from the Command Prompt.

Exit Command Syntax:

exit

The exit command has no additional switches or options.

Exit Command Examples:

exit

In the above example, typing the exit command will close Recovery Console and restart the computer. Using the exit command is the safest way to exit Recovery Console after making changes.

Exit Command Availability:

The exit command is available from within the Recovery Console in Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

Exit Related Commands:

The exit command is often used with many other Recovery Console commands.
