What Is the Cls Command?:

The cls command is a Recovery Console command that clears the screen of all text while in Recovery Console.

Cls Command Syntax:

cls

The cls command has no additional switches or options.

Cls Command Examples:
cls

In the above example, typing the cls command will erase all text from the screen and display an empty prompt at the top of the screen, ready for another command. The cls command is usually used to help avoid the confusion that can come with a screen full of previously typed commands and text.

Cls Command Availability:

The cls command is available from within the Recovery Console in Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

The cls command is also accessible from the Command Prompt in any version of Windows.

Cls Related Commands:

The cls command is often used with many of the Recovery Console commands.
