Among other things, registry backups are created automatically, registry defrags are possible, and program updates are performed in place. Download Wise Registry Cleaner This review is of Wise Registry Cleaner v11.1.4, which was released on April 17, 2024. Please let us know if there's a newer version to review. Wise Registry Cleaner Pros & Cons I've used Wise Registry Cleaner many times over the years, and there still isn't much to complain about. What We Like Easy to use. Clean and uncluttered user interface. Makes backups automatically. Portable version available. What We Don't Like Pro features appear free until you try to use them. More About Wise Registry Cleaner 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista are said to be supported. Windows XP users can use the portable version only. In Settings > Auto Run, you can create a "Clean with 1-click" icon. This makes it very simple to clean the registry with a shortcut icon. You can use this shortcut with the command line, which is useful when using a task scheduling program The registry is automatically backed up before any cleaning is performed. This option is customizable in the settings You can manually create a restore point at any time Reverting to a restore point or restoring a registry backup is just a few clicks away in Restore Center You can specify to run a normal, safe, or deep registry scan Custom areas of the registry can be scanned such as for invalid file extensions, obsolete startup program entries, invalid software paths, and many more Exclusions are allowed so you can tell the program to avoid cleaning any registry items with specific words in them When you update Wise Registry Cleaner, you don't need to download another setup file like most programs require. Instead, the file is downloaded for you and then installed automatically A portable version can be downloaded from Softpedia or built using the full version by accessing the menu and choosing Create a portable version A registry defrag and system tuneup utility are also included My Thoughts on Wise Registry Cleaner WiseCleaner.com releases some great software, like a file search tool, a program uninstaller, and this registry cleaner. One thing I like about this program is that when a scan is finished, it clearly shows which registry paths are free of issues and which need to be fixed. It also shows "unsafe" registry errors, which makes it easy to quickly determine what sort of problems were found. The program updates frequently, so it's really nice that you don't need to download new updates manually. Just click the update link at the bottom of the program, and if an update is required, it will download the setup file and install it for you. After trying CCleaner, I certainly recommend giving Wise Registry Cleaner a go before using any other registry cleaners. Download Wise Registry Cleaner Was this page helpful?
