RockXP is a small, easy to use, and completely free key finder program.
RockXP has no trouble finding the product key for your Windows installation or for any of your other Microsoft programs like Microsoft Office.
Aside from the fact that many antivirus programs mistakenly identify RockXP as malware, it can be an extremely useful tool when you've lost that super-important product key!

Among the free product key finder programs available, RockXP 4.0 is a pretty decent choice. The download is small, there's no permanent installation required, and it's completely free. That's hard to beat.
In my tests of version 4.0, RockXP correctly identified the product keys for Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2007. According to other users, RockXP also locates the product keys for the following operating systems and programs:
- Microsoft Windows Vista
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003
- Microsoft Windows XP
- Microsoft Windows 2000
- Microsoft Windows ME & 98
- Microsoft Office 2007
- Microsoft Office 2003
- Microsoft Office XP
- Microsoft Office 2000 SP2
- Microsoft Office 97
A password generator feature is also packaged with RockXP. While this isn't directly related to finding lost product keys, it is a handy feature you may find useful. You can also easily change the Windows XP product key, though there are few legitimate uses for this feature.
The only problem I had with RockXP was the fact that my antivirus program identified it as malware. The developer (who's site is often down) acknowledges this issue and attributes it to the way in which the program identifies product keys. I would advise you to make your own judgment here as far as using RockXP, but I have yet to have a problem myself nor hear of anyone else experiencing issues due to RockXP.
RockXP is free, easy to use, and finds product keys fast. I recommend giving it a shot if you need to locate yours!
