Now that the Run application is open, type regedit and then click the OK button.
The regedit command will open the Registry Editor application, used to edit the Windows Registry.

- Open Registry Editor
- Navigate to the WPAEvents Registry Subkey
- Click to Modify the OOBETimer Registry Value
- Select Part of the OOBETimer Value
- Change the OOBETimer Value
- Close Registry Editor
- Click on Start and then Run
- Open the Windows XP Activation Wizard
- Choose the Telephone Activation Option
- Click the Change Product Key Button
- Enter the New Windows XP Product Key
- Wait While the New Installation ID is Generated
- Reactivate Windows XP
- Confirm Reactivation of Windows XP
