It's better than a few other online file converters, but certainly not as robust as a dedicated file converter program. It's very easy to use, supports a good number of file formats (especially images), and is faster than some other online file converter services I've tried. If you like the thought of skipping the download-and-install routine and getting your file conversion done online, give FileZigZag a try. This service is spotty — the website seems to be down often. If it's not working for you, see my review of Zamzar, a similar online converter tool. Visit FileZigZag FileZigZag Pros & Cons What We Like Free file conversions. No programs to install—it's 100 percent web based. Convert more than one file at once. Supports files up to 150 MB in size (if you make a free account). Converts a variety of files from one format to another. What We Don't Like Conversion time is slow but faster than some other online file converters. You have to upload the file to have it converted, and then download it to use it again. Free users max out at 10 conversions every day. Using FileZigZag It couldn't get much easier to use this converter. Just visit their website (linked above), upload the files you want to convert from, choose the format you want to convert your files to, and then select Start Converting. Finally, just wait for the download button to appear to get your file. Optionally, check the box on their website to email you when the files are ready to be downloaded. This probably isn't necessary, but if you're about to leave your computer, this is a good way to get the download links on your phone or another computer without having to wait around for them. All of FileZigZag's supported formats are listed here, categorized by format type, like image, audio, eBook, archive, and more. My Thoughts on FileZigZag FileZigZag is one of the better online file conversion services. All online file converters are incredibly similar to this one, but in several tests, it proved to be the faster tool. This website is a pretty good choice if you're after an image converter or a document converter. However, due to the time it takes to both upload and convert a file, it isn't my first choice as a video converter or audio converter. Try one of the other programs in those lists instead.
