They make getting them for many kinds of hardware easy by providing a single destination. Some of these sites link to drivers on other websites, while others provide them on their own servers. Either way, they are all great resources for drivers, especially if you're looking for downloads for your older hardware. Important The best way to get a driver is directly from the manufacturer, so always try that first before using one of the websites I've listed below. If those methods aren't working for you, consider using a free driver updater tool or a different driver download source. 01 of 10 DriverGuide.com What We Like Searching is easy. Huge selection of hard-to-find, up-to-date drivers. Downloading is simple. Adds hundreds of new drivers daily. What We Don't Like Free accounts have a limited number of downloads. Overwhelming push to download their driver update utility. DriverGuide.com is one of the oldest driver download websites. They advertise a catalog of over one million drivers and firmware files. Searching for and downloading drivers is very easy. The site has a huge selection of hard-to-find drivers (it supports 6,000 manufacturers) and is good at keeping their driver inventory up to date. One thing I like about this site is that it shows the submission date for some drivers, so it's really easy to see how fresh they are. However, I wish it had sorting options to locate recently added drivers. Visit DriverGuide.com 02 of 10 TechSpot: Drivers What We Like Well-organized. View recently added drivers. What We Don't Like Users could bypass site and search for the manufacturer directly. Search tool is too simple; no filtering or sorting options. TechSpot.com is a technology website offering forums and more, in addition to driver downloads. Finding the driver you need is easy, and no registration is needed. Like most driver download sites, drivers are organized by type of device. I particularly like the "Latest Updates" section that shows all the recently added drivers from companies like Nvidia, Intel, AMD, and others. Visit TechSpot 03 of 10 Softpedia.com:Drivers What We Like No registration is required. Navigating site is easy Includes filtering options. What We Don't Like Great deal of content to wade through. Ad-heavy. Softpedia.com is a software download website that also provides driver downloads, much like some of my other picks in this list. This one links to drivers at the manufacturer's website instead of providing them from their own site, though they also have backup links hosted on their own servers. Navigating around the site is very easy, and you can browse by the 600+ manufacturers to search through over 900 thousand drivers. I also like that they maintain a list of recent drivers. Visit Softpedia.com 04 of 10 MajorGeeks.com: Drivers What We Like Reliable download links. Sorting options. Stays updated. What We Don't Like Primarily lists update utilities. Poor organization makes it hard to browse. Browse for drivers at MajorGeeks.com by categories like CMOS, Updaters, Utilities, and Specific. The updaters and utilities are what you're after if you want a program to do the updating for you, and that last category is ideal if you know the specific driver you want to download. Compared to these other free driver download sites, MajorGeeks.com is handy because it updates its collection often, and I've never had an issue with broken links like I do at some of these other sites. However, the release dates are too small to read easily, and there's basically no organization. Visit MajorGeeks.com 05 of 10 Driver Scape What We Like Large selection. Three ways to find drivers. What We Don't Like Not all drivers show the release date. Site design isn't very user-friendly. Driver Scape is a solid driver download site that's easy to use and provides drivers from many manufacturers. The website itself is easy to navigate and use by anyone. Lots of drivers are available, and it's easy to see if one will work on your computer. One thing Driver Scape should be commended for is its straightforward download links. There aren't fake 'download' buttons or weird install utilities. However, its search function is incredibly bare and borderline useless beyond basic keyword matching. Visit Driver Scape 06 of 10 DriverPack What We Like Browse by device type or brand. Double-click the downloaded file to install. What We Don't Like Downloads not directly from manufacturers. Can be slow. Tries to trick you into getting their update utility. DriverPack Solution has an online catalog of more than 1 million free driver downloads. It's a breeze to search for drivers by name or DeviceID. You don't need a user account to get them; just find the version you need and then select the download button to save it to your computer. Most of them aren't even in an archive format, meaning you can just double-click the file once it's downloaded, and start installing it. A huge problem I have with this site is that unless you spend an extra second or two hunting down the direct download for the driver you want (it's easy), you'll most likely end up getting the website's own update utility instead. Visit DriverPack There's also a DriverPack program you can download to update drivers, but I recommend using the website because that utility is flagged as malware by several security vendors. 07 of 10 Download.com: Device Drivers What We Like Trusted source for years. No registration required. What We Don't Like Several promoted apps in search results. Limited resource for older hardware. Lots of ads. Unhelpful search results. Download.com is one of the most popular software download websites on the internet. It stands out as a driver download website because they've been a trusted source for software downloads for years. Just search for the driver you need or browse through the list. This isn't my first choice when I'm looking for a website with driver downloads, which is why I've ranked it as such in this list. But, if the above websites weren't helpful in your search, you can always give this one a shot. Visit Download.com 08 of 10 Soft32.com: Drivers What We Like Direct links to manufacturer downloads. Search tool makes finding a driver simple. Useful filter and sort options. What We Don't Like Many dead links. Outdated, cluttered appearance. Rarely updated. Soft32.com is a software download website that also provides driver downloads. Direct links to drivers at manufacturer websites ensure that you're getting the latest versions available. I don't recommend this site for brand-new drivers, but it could be useful if you need a driver for some really old hardware. Visit Soft32.com 09 of 10 NoDevice.com What We Like Streamlined appearance. More than 100,000 drivers listed. Browse by manufacturer and device. What We Don't Like Fake download button on each download page. Downloads can be slow. NoDevice.com supports a wide variety of devices. You don't have to have a user account and the drivers are downloaded directly from the website, which means you don't need to leave NoDevice.com. The manufacturers and devices are listed out for you to make browsing simple. I'm not a fan of the fake download buttons, but they're avoidable if you're careful. Visit NoDevice.com 10 of 10 SoftwareDriverDownload.com What We Like No registration required. Offers basic instructions. What We Don't Like Small driver selection Clunky navigation. Some downloads are in a RAR file. Some links are dead. Unhelpful search tool. SoftwareDriverDownload.com has a smaller collection of drivers than the other sites in this list, and it doesn't seem to update often. No registration is required, but the third-party download site that hosts some of their files may require registration before you can download anything. Much like the other sites around this one in the list, I don't think this should be your first choice for a great driver download site, but there are some popular older drivers here if you need them.
