Email Tim Fisher, About.com Guide to PC Support

By Tim Fisher, About.com

Like all Guides on About.com, I am a real person. I am the original author of everything on the PC Support site.

In addition to writing for About.com, I own and operate a small business. Needless to say I keep very busy and may not be able to respond to your email in a timely manner.

If you feel as though you need to email me directly, please read through the FAQs below before sending me an email. My address is at the bottom of the page.

F.A.Q.
Q. "I have a computer problem! Can I email you directly about it?"
A.

Most questions sent to me via email are related to a computer problem that someone is having. Unfortunately, considering my workload, emailing me is probably not the fastest way to get an answer.

My recommendation: Post your question in the PC Support Forum.

Aside from the fact that you'll usually get a quicker response from me there, many other capable individuals frequent the forum as well. The chances of getting a prompt reply are much better with a forum post than a personal email.

Q. "Something I found on your site needs updated. How do I let you know about it?"
A.

Please go ahead and email me about any updates needed. Be sure to include a link to the page that needs updated and let me know exactly what you think needs updated.

Q. "I just have a comment about something. Can I email you?"
A.

You sure can. It might be several days or longer before I reply but I do return every single (polite) email I receive.

Q. "I have a suggestion for an article that should be on your site. Do you solicit ideas for new content?"
A.

Absolutely. There's no guarantee that I'll write it or add it to my site but you're more than welcome to send any ideas my way.

Q. "I'd like to interview you as an expert in your field. How can I contact you to schedule that?"
A.

If you'd like to schedule an interview, please send me an email with your contact information and some details about the piece your writing or filming.

Q. "How do I contact you about reviewing my book/product?"
A.

Email me with details on your book or product. Please keep in mind that I do not guarantee that I will review your product even if you send it to me nor do I guarantee that any review I do write will be positive.

Q. "You saved the day! How can I thank you?"
A.

If any of my troubleshooting or how-to guides saved you time, frustration, or money, a quick "Thank You!" email is always appreciated! I will most certainly email you back.

Q. "I understand that you're busy and it might be a while before you respond. So... what's your email address?"
A.

You can send me an email at pcsupport.guide@about.com. I promise I'll reply as soon as I can.
