Windows "Blue" Officially in the Works

By March 28, 2013

Follow me on:

Windows 8 Start ScreenI've mentioned Windows "Blue" a few times before - it's the rumored (until now) major update to Windows 8.

An early build of this update has leaked and so we now have some ideas about how Windows 8 will change. Some of the changes include:

  • More tile customization options
  • More Start Screen customization options
  • Internet Explorer 11 (IE11)
  • Expansion of configuration options in Windows Settings
  • Option to backup to SkyDrive
  • New integrated apps

There are a lot more too.

See Windows Blue - What's new? [NirmalTV.com] for more information.

Note: The "Blue" update to Windows 8 is unlikely to change the name of Windows 8 to Windows Blue. Also, the changes listed above and in the Nirmal T V piece are likely to change before release to the public (which will probably be free) later in 2013.
