I missed the announcement earlier in the week, so for those of you that haven't noticed, Firefox 9 became officially available on December 20th.
I was half joking in November when I said that I wouldn't be surprised to see Firefox 9 by year's end but here we are!
The biggest improvement in Firefox 9 over v8 is an update that helps speed up JavaScript, a technology that just about every site uses. Meaning: faster surfing.
You can read more about that change, called Type Interface, here. Mozilla also blogged about Firefox 9 here and has a full (read: technical) list of changes and fixes here.
Have you downloaded Firefox 9 yet? If so, have you noticed an improvement?
