Microsoft today released a patch to the Canonical Display Driver, resolving a security issue that, while unlikely to be exploited, does leave an unpatched system vulnerable to attack.

This update from Microsoft corrects an issue with the Canonical Display Driver (cdd.dll) which could, in specific scenarios, allow a remote attacker to run malicious software on your computer or cause it to stop operating properly.
This update applies to you if: you're running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
