From pbaker62 in the PC Support Forums:
The other day my wife suddenly couldn't get new messages, nor could she open any. A code came up: system redundancy error. The Microsoft site that instructs fix of the problem is too technical... I've tried to follow it but lose it.
I thought I'd ask if there's a way to repair this problem. Note the problem is limited to Outlook and it doesn't seem to slow down the IE6 operating system or browsing on the web. She'd like to keep the features and functionality of Outlook 2000. Or, if it'll work, can she upgrade to another version of Outlook and import messages in the inaccessible Outlook 2000?
This is a toughie but we still would like to know yay or nay.

I’d bag the effort with Outlook 2000 and replace it with Outlook 03 or some version that your ISP can support you with over the phone when stuff like this happens. Uninstalling and re-installing Office can resolve it but the core issue is that with this old of a version of Outlook (2000) there’s little more you can do. Hopefully readers will see this and take the initiative to upgrade and update/
try reinstalling the program… that or u can upgrade (wont hurt). Whenever uninstalling (if u do) never delete related content… this cud b ur back ups or something…
Emails cud b stored on a server so u might b able to get them back on ur pc after resolving the problem…
Good Luck
