How Do You Use the Internet to Solve Your PC Problems?

Wednesday December 24, 2008
Last month, when I asked "What's the First Thing You Do?" after you discover a problem with your computer, most of you included "use the Internet" to find the answer to your problem.

So do you head right to Google or another search engine or do you go to your favorite forum and get a response from an expert (or someone disguising as one)?

depending on the problem, i sometimes type my question right into google. I’m generally surprised at the number of places listed. As always, some of these want to sell you something so you need to be prepared to “almost” get your answer. If you don’t want to pay.. keep going.. you’ll find a “free” solutaion in most cases.

I put my questions to Yahoo computer help and discussion group. Most of the time I get solution to my problem. Or I browse through pcsupport.com to get through my problems.
