Download Internet Explorer 8 (Beta)

Friday September 19, 2008
The beta version of IE8 has been out for a while now. Have you tried it out? If you have, let me know what you thought in the comments. There are several interesting new features.

From a PC support perspective, a new version of Internet Explorer might be just what you need to solve an IE problem that you haven't been able to solve in other ways. At very least, it could be a troubleshooting step to try. You don't necessarily have to keep it.

Download Internet Explorer 8 Beta. You'll need at least Windows XP.

I tried IE8 briefly but found it caused problems with my weblog on Xanga. Despite clicking on the compatibility icon I couldn’t post entries properly or browse other blogs with the usual ease of previous versions. Also my partner found that Trevian wouldn’t work properly using it. I prefer IE for blogging usually and I hope IE8 will be suitable to use once it is finally released but for now we have reverted to IE7.
