Is Your Windows PC Running the Latest Service Pack?
Thursday January 10, 2008
Did you know that Microsoft will occasionally release major updates for their operating systems called Service Packs? They're very important to install and luckily much harder to miss these days thanks to "automatic updates" and other alerts.
Still, it's important to check to make sure you're updated. Figuring out what service pack level you're at with your operating system will take about as long as it took to read this blog post so go ahead and take a peek now.
Windows XP users should be at Service Pack 2 but keep an eye out for Service Pack 3. Microsoft has not yet publicly released a service pack for Windows Vista, but it is coming soon.
